Ross Allen started his career in the music industry at a record shop in Streatham, before joining Dorado Records. Here he was given his own leftfield label called Filter.

This led to him writing his regular Destination Out column for Straight No Chaser magazine, and also to presenting his Sony award winning show for BBC Radio London - he still broadcasts for the BBC, and also has a weekly show on Ministry of Sound radio.

After Dorado, Ross joined Universal Music Group, where he established the Island Blue record label. At UMG he worked with a variety of artists and engineered the signing of Lady Sovereign, whilst also acting as A&R at Casual records, where he masterminded the critically acclaimed Country Got Soul project.

He has recently taken a new A&R position at Domino Records, which should be the perfect home for his eclectic tastes. Ross still DJs the World over and consumes music with an over-riding passion that borders on obsession.
