David began his career in music in 1994 as a member of the Ballistic Brothers, together with Ashley Beedle and Rocky & Diesel, of X-Press 2 fame.

In 1994 he co-founded the Nuphonic record label, where he managed all creative aspects, releasing almost a hundred records with artists including Faze Action, Norman Jay, Andrew Weatherall and David Mancuso. In addition to the record label, Nuphonic also produced the Sony award winning London Xpress radio show for Xfm, which led to various club nights and launched him as a music consultant to brands such as Orange, Levi’s and Budweiser. This also introduced him to working with the British Council, where he worked on projects in Namibia and Brazil.

In 2003 David chose to close the Nuphonic label and since then has acted as a consultant to several record companies. The first of these was Soul Jazz records, for whom he produced a series of successful albums - in 2004 the ‘World of Arthur Russell’ album and more recently the acclaimed ‘Soul Gospel’ series.

He is also production consultant for Auralux, the London based reggae re-issue record label, and has worked with Lee Perry, King Jammy, Barrington Levy and Sly & Robbie.

Additionally, David is an experienced events producer, having recently worked with Saatchi & Saatchi, Absolut Vodka, Haunch of Vension and Frankfurt Fine Art Fair.

In 2007, together with Damian Montagu, David formed Radial.
