Bob Clifford was given his first acoustic guitar the age of 12. Starting out as a tape-operator at a London recording studio, he went on to join Polydor records, where he worked in copyright before moving to A&R and finally marketing.

Thereafter he ran his own label, studio and publishing company before joining Arista Records as US Label Manager. Next stop was EMI Music Publishing, where Bob worked his way up, finally running the Exploitation Department.

From there he moved to run Jobete Music, Motown's Publishing arm, before rejoining EMI, who he still consults for in addition to supervising music for various film projects.

Through his nom-de-rockabilly his tracks were featured on over 6 million CD covermounts in 2005, and his guitarmanship has been aired on TOTP, The Word and the Richard & Judy show.
