Andres Lokko

Andres Lokko is a Stockholm-born critic, columnist and script writer/producer for TV and films, and is now resident in London.

During the early 90s he founded and edited the influential Swedish music magazine POP and later, its sister publication, the fashion magazine Bibel. When Andres felt the magazine had accomplished everything it set out to do, he folded POP after 7 years.

Since then he has, among other things, written the script for a 3 and a half hour long black comedy called Four Shades Of Brown, which at the end of 2005 won four awards – 'Guldbaggar' - at the Scandinavian Oscar's in Stockholm.

At the same time Andres produced and presented three seasons of a documentary series for Scandinavian MTV (in collaboration with SVT1, Sweden’s BBC1) about outsider and underground musicians from all across the globe.

For the last two years the award winning series, This Is Our Music, has been travelling the world to film and music festivals from Edinburgh to Brazil via Portugal.

Andres is also the music columnist for Swedish national broadsheet Svenska Dagbladet and cultural UK correspondent and literary critic for a number of Swedish newspapers.
